Lori Tucker, Director of the Baldwyn Chamber reports that the Main Street Streetscape is just around the corner. Mayor Danny Horton reported, "we are in the final stages of the process and we are waiting on the approval from MDOT." This has been a long process for the Mayor and city officials. However, the end results will be spectacular for the City of Baldwyn and the surrounding community.
When the streetscape construction begins, it will be worked on in sections. This will allow our Main Street to function in it's normal day-to-day capacity. The city and chamber will work closely with the merchants and businesses to prepare all for this step-by-step process. Once the actual construction begins the chamber will inform all parties involved of ways they can be prepared. For this project to be successful, we will need to work together as a team. Communication, timing, and planning are crucial to this streetscape project.
